Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was the youngest member of the hip-hop trio Migos, along with his uncle, Quavo, and his first uncle once removed, Offset. Since Migos’ first single, “Versace,” in 2013, the group has scored several top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 including “Motorsport,” “Stir Fry,” “Walk It Talk It” and “Bad and Boujee,” which reached number one. The group has also received two Grammy Award nominations.

Takeoff, who was born on June 18, 1994, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, died on November 1, 2022, in a shooting in Houston, Texas. He was 28 years old. In an interview on the “Drink Champs” podcast a week before his death, Takeoff opened up about how he wanted to be recognized for his work while he was still alive and not when he’s dead. I’m chill, I’m-laid back, but it’s time to pop it. I want to get into my flow. Time to give me my flowers. I don’t want them when I ain’t here,” he said at the time.

After the news of his death, Drake, who collaborated with Migos on the 2018 song “Walk It Talk It,” paid tribute to Takeoff in an Instagram post. “Got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That’s what I’ll focus on for now. rest easy space man,” he captioned a photo of him and Takeoff from their Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour in 2018. SZA also paid tribute to Takeoff in a tweet. “This Takeoff shit so weird .. I’m genuinely creeped out by the world . I cried . God bless that man’s spirit his family and friends . SUCH A TALENTED SOUL .. ion understand,” she wrote. Machine Gun Kelly was another rapper who paid tribute to the late Migos member. “i had the honor of being on migos first mixtape back in like 09’…crazy what they’ve done since. i was so proud of that album cho and takeoff just dropped, the bars and production were so mean, i’m just glad he got to experience SOME of his flowers while he was here. RIP Take ” he tweeted at the time.

So who killed Takeoff and how did he die? Read on for what police know so far about who shot and killed Takeoff and what his cause of death was.

Who killed Takeoff?

Who killed Takeoff? The Houston Police Department charged Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, on December 2, 2022, with the murder of Takeoff. “Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, charged with the murder of Kirshnik Khari Ball (Takeoff),” the police department tweeted at the time with a mugshot of the suspect. Cameron Joshua, 22, was also charged with felony possession of a weapon in relation to Takeoff’s death.

Before the charges, the Houston Police Department asked the public for any information regarding Takeoff’s death at a press conference on November 1, 2022. “We are looking for any information at this time,” Sergeant Michael Arrington, the lead investigator on the case, said at the time. “We know the media has received a lot of phone calls, text messages, tweets, vines, videos. We need all of y’all to send those to us so we can solve this case.” He continued, “We want to find justice for this family. They’re going through a lot right now … Help us to apprehend and get charges and arrest on the person responsible for the death of Takeoff.”

Migos’ record label, Quality Control Music, also reported in a statement on November 1, 2022, that Takeoff was killed by a “stray bullet” and not an intentional shot. “It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved brother Kirsnick Khari Ball, known to the world as Takeoff. Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated,” the statement read. “Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss.” Radar Online also reported that Takeoff wasn’t the main target and was caught in the “crossfire” of the shooting. The site also reported that Takeoff and the shooter weren’t arguing before he was shot. “Whatever happened, it didn’t have to do with Takeoff,” the source said.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner at the press conference also revealed that he believed the suspect—or suspects—were guests at the party Takeoff attended at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston on Halloween night. “What if this was your brother? What if this was your son? Please step up,” he said at the press conference.  Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner assured the public at the press conference that Takeoff’s killer will be found. “We will solve this case. We will find the shooter or shooters,” he said.

In a video published by TMZ on November 2, 2022, a day after Takeoff’s death, Quavo could be seen in an altercation with short dreads who held a gun by his side. The man was wearing a navy blue shirt, cap and a black cross-body bag with patches on it. The Houston Police Department confirmed to TMZ the man is a person of interest in Takeoff’s death. According to the video, the man doesn’t fire the first shot, however, TMZ reports that about five seconds after the first shot, he is seen raising his gun and seemingly firing it. The video also shows Quavo walking behind the man two seconds before the first shot is fired.

How did Takeoff die? Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot dead in the early morning of November 1, 2022, outside the front door of 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas. He was 28 years old. TMZ reported that Takeoff and his band mate and uncle, Quavo, were at the bowling alley playing dice when a fight broke out and someone opened fire, shooting Takeoff in the head or near the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department also reported at a press conference at the time that two other people were shot at the party and were taken to local area hospital in private vehicles with “non-life-threatening injuries.” They were a 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old female.“Both of them are going to be OK,” Quavo was not injured.

“This morning at 2:34 a.m. officers received a call of a shooting in progress. Officers arrived there shortly thereafter — a downtown location, Billiards & Bowling Alley. They came upon a male who was deceased. That male has been identified as Kirshnik Ball, better known as Takeoff. He’s a member of the Migos rap group, out of Atlanta,” Houton Police Chief Troy Finner said at the press conference. He continued, “I got many calls from Houston and outside of Houston. And everyone spoke of what a great young man this is, how peaceful he is. What a great artist.”

Houston Police Sergeant Michael Arrington added, “A private party was booked out for the event — after that ended, a large group of people gathered at the front door area outside of the building, and that led to an argument where the shooting took place from the disagreement,” he said. “A lot of the people that were there fled the scene and did not stick around to give a statement. We’re asking them to either call us at the homicide division or if they would like to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers. We’re looking for any information at this time — any videos, any information. We need all of y’all to send those to us so we can solve this case. We’re looking for anything to help us. We want to find justice for this family.”

In audio of the 911 call obtained by TMZ, emergency dispatchers could be heard discussing the incident, reporting there were five shots fired and that the caller heard gunshots and people screaming. In a video of the shooting posted by TMZ, Quavo could also be heard on the phone with an emergency dispatcher as a woman on the scene who said she was a nurse was helping Takeoff. “What does she need to do?” Quavo said.

At the press conference, Chief Finner revealed that Takeoff’s mother, the sister of his Migos member Quavo, immediately flew to Houston after his death. “I spoke to this young man’s mother just an hour ago — she flew in here from out of town. I want everybody to understand the pain, the suffering of a mother. Very tough,” Finner said. “And I told her, as we stand with any victim of violence or any homicide victim, their family, we stand with them in this city, in this police department. I want to thank our homicide unit under the direction of Commander Spears for doing great work, time and time again.” He continued, “I ask that we all pray for his mother, his family, and all of his friends who are in deep pain and shock still right now. We have no reason to believe he was involved in anything criminal at the time. Peaceful, loving, great entertainer.”

Chief Finner also took a moment to comment on the hip-hop community, explaining that the community gets a “bad name” because of the number of rappers who have been killed in recent years. “I know a lot of great people in our hip-hop community and I respect them,” he said. “I’m calling up on everybody, all hip hop artists, in Houston and around the nation. We’ve got to police ourselves. We all need to stand together and make sure that nobody tears down that industry.”

To achieve posthumous fame at this level is the most Pisces thing, as this zodiac sign is more connected to the spirit world than the material world. Even as a ghost, Van Gogh remains the King of Impressionism in my eyes.

Who is TJ Holmes’ wife, Marilee Fiebig? Holmes and Fiebig, a lawyer, married in 2010 and split in 2022. They share one child together, daughter Sabine, who was born in 2013. He also has two other children, daughter Brianna and son Jaidan, from his marriage to Amy Ferson, whom he divorced in 2007.

Fiebig is an immigration lawyer who is admitted to practice in the state of Georgia and the state of New York, according to Justia. She graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School. Fiebig is also the Chief Diversity Office for the nonprofit organization Save the Children, where she’s worked since June 2021. According to an interview with Vanguard Law Magazine in 2019, Fiebig was hired as a lawyer for Wilhelmina International Inc. in 2017. She went on to become the company’s Vice President of Operation and General Counsel, where she worked as an immigration lawyer to smooth the immigration process for young people to work in environments free from exploitation, harassment and other forms of abuse. “I credit the company for recognizing the importance of a woman’s point of view in upper management,” Holmes told the magazine at the time. “As a woman, I think I have a natural empathy for them [models] and can provide a unique perspective. I fully embrace that part of who I am.”

While at Wilhelmina, Fiebig worked specifically with foreign models. “We’ll collect all the necessary documentation to build a case for our models,”she said. “If there’s a way of showing why a model is extraordinary, we’ll find it.” She continued, “When I came on board, I don’t think the CEO [Bill Wackermann] or I could have foreseen all the industrywide issues about sexual harassment that were about to unfold. To his credit, he took it very seriously and found it beneficial to have someone with my skillset and perspective to help the company navigate this very sensitive area.”

Fiebig, one of three children who are all lawyers, was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and moved to the United States with her family when she was five years old. Her father, William Fiebig, was a former Peace Corps volunteer, while her mother, Pauline Fiebig, is a native of Congo. Fiebig received her United States citizenship while attending elementary school in Florida. “It was one of the proudest moments in my life,”Fiebig told Vanguard Law Magazine. “Though the process was more straightforward than it is today, it still wasn’t automatic. Given how passionate she was about education in light of the lack of similar opportunities she had growing up in the Congo, I was motivated at a very young age to further mine.”

Along with her legal career, Fiebig was also the Chief of Staff at Roc Nation. According to her Instagram, Fiebig is also on the Board of Trustees Board of Trustees for the Brooklyn Independent Middle School and works as a mentor for Unlock Her Potential.

Holmes and Fiebig welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sabine, in January 2013. She was right. Her input stopped me from making the mistake of hitting send,” Holmes wrote. “That innocuous example is emblematic of our entire relationship. In all I do, I have a partner looking out for me, advising me, keeping me on track and stopping me from making a mistake, no matter how great or small.”

Holmes explained that, though he was “still the same guy at my core,” he did see several positive changes to himself as a result of his marriage to Fiebig. “My family and I are closer, my individual net worth has gone up every year since we met, I’ve learned a second language, I’m healthier, I use the N-word less, I listen to Sunday church service more, I’m a better friend, I’m more forgiving than I used to be, I’m more involved in charitable work,” Holmes wrote. “In every way, I’m better off because I’m married. Holmes also honored Fiebig in a Facebook post for their 10-year anniversary in 2020. “This particular #decadechallenge is a little late, but … 10 years ago, Marilee Fiebig married me. And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years. That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic. I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the doooooooor. Holmes sparked rumors he and Fiebig had split in April 2022 when he shared a cryptic quote from his dressing room on Instagram that read: “End the relationship and cry once. Page Six reported on November 30, 2022, that Good Morning America hosts, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, left their spouses in August 2022 after a months-long affair. Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue since 2010, while Holmes was married to lawyer Marilee Fiebig since 2010. A source told Page Six at the time that Robach and Holmes’ affair started in March 2022 after they began training together for the New York City Marathon, which they were photographed together at on November 6, 2022, less than three weeks before news broke of their affair.

The GMA hosts were seen “canoodling” in bars near ABC News’ office in New York City in May 2022, and left their spouses in August 2022. “They have a very cozy relationship on air, but that is what is expected. But they were very careful behind the scenes to keep their affair secret. The producers at GMA are shocked to hear they are having an affair,” a source told Page Six at the time. The Daily Mail also reported at the time that rumors of Robach and Holmes’ affair first sparked in June 2022 “when they were in London together filming the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee for ABC and staff were buzzing about the intimacy between them,” a source said. The insider added, “Everyone knows that Amy and T.J. have been close friends for a long time now, running together and even socializing as a foursome with each other’s spouses.” The Daily Mail also reported that the head of ABC News, Kim Godwin, knew of Robach and Holmes’ affair before it went public.

Robach restricted comments on her Instagram around November 2022 when fans noticed she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring in photos and hadn’t posted her husband for a while. Both Robach and Holmes have since deleted their Instagram accounts.

News broke of Robach and Holmes’ affair on November 30, 2022, after The Daily Mail published photos of the GMA hosts at O’Donoghue’s Irish Bar in New York City, near where Robach and Holmes film Good Morning America, where they were seen flirting with each other on November 10, 2022. A source told The Daily Mail at the time that Robach and Holmes went to the pair after filming a daily pre-recorded segment of Good Morning America. The Daily Mail reported that Robach and Holmes left ABC Studios separately and walked alone to the bar, where they reunited at a far corner in the restaurant. “They were totally into each other. She was giggling at whatever he was saying, and they were looking at each other’s phones. At one point she was kind of dancing in her chair to the music and laughing so hard she practically fell into his lap,” a source told The Daily Mail at the time. When they left, Robach stood about 20 feet away from Holmes on the sidewalk as he called an Uber. When the Uber, Robach and Holmes got in together and rode to Holmes’ downtown Manhattan apartment, where Robach was not seen leaving.

The next day, Holmes was seen leaving his apartment with a backpack and duffle bag. He was also seen going to a restaurant near Robach’s West Village apartment after they filmed their morning segment of Good Morning America. After he ate alone at the restaurant, Holmes walked around the corner and repeatedly looked over his shoulder before continuing up the block, where Robach was waiting to pick him up in her blue BMW convertible, according to The Daily Mail. Robach and Holmes then drove two hours north to the city of Shawangunk Mountains, New York, where they checked into a remote cottage on the edge of Minnewaska State Park, where they brought their own food to cook and wine and beer to drink. 

When they left, Holmes could be seen grabbing and patting Robach’s butt as she bent over to load their bags and their leftover food and drinks into her car. Days later, while recording a segment on robes without Holmes for Good Morning America on November 16, 2022, Robach referenced her co-host’s love for robes. “I wish TJ was here,” Good Morning America contributor Tory Johnson said during the segment, to which Robach responded, “He loves his robes. He walks around the hallways with them.” A day later, on November 17, 2022, Holmes and Robach were seen again at New York University Langone, where Holmes was seen leaving with Robach and her best friend, who walked Robach’s golden doodle, Brody, while Holmes stayed in Robach’s apartment with her, according to The Daily Mail.

A source told The Sun on December 1, 2022, that Robach and Holmes’ Good Morning America co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos were “furious” at their co-anchors’ “messy” affair because of the controversy it brought to Good Morning America like Today‘s scandal with Matt Lauer, who was fired from the news show after 20 years in 2017 following allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior. “George and Robin do not like this. This is very messy,” the insider said. “They prided themselves on not having a sex scandal, like Today once did with Matt Lauer.” The source continued, “They were so proud all their hosts were decent, married and committed people.”

The insider added that Robach and Holmes’ affair was more difficult for Roberts, who became close after Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, convinced Robach to have an on-air mammogram on Good Morning America in 2013, which led to a life-saving diagnosis. “Amy and Robin are really close,” the source said. “Robin convinced Amy to get what would end up being a lifesaving mammogram on live TV. Their bond is very strong.” The insider continued, “Robin is an idealist. She is the boss. When something goes off the rails she jumps in and tells people to tidy the mess up. And I’m not so sure there’s a way to tidy this one up. This is all very dirty for a morning show.”

Another source told The Sun on December 1, 2022, that Robach and Holmes could be demoted on Good Morning America as a result of their affair. “There is no way they are going to be able to stay at GMA,” the insider said. “They may not be outright fired, but they’ll be relegated to lesser roles, which will make it undesirable for them to continue.” The Sun also reported that Robach and Holmes’ affair may have also broken a “morality clause,” which states that talent must “act at all times with due regard to public morals and conventions,” according to a copy of the document obtained by the newspaper. The clause also stated that talent shall not take part in behavior “which tends to bring you or us into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule….or which might reflect unfavorably upon us, or injure the success of the programs.” The clause continued, “We may terminate this Agreement upon notice to within thirty (30) days after we acquire knowledge thereof.”

A source also confirmed to Page Six on December 1, 2022, that Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, which owns ABC, learned of Robach and Holmes’ relationship on November 29, 2022, a day before it became public.“Bob Iger was notified about the affair on Tuesday, and he has been in close contact with ABC News president Kim Godwin,” the source said. “Their decision is a ‘watch and wait’ approach.” The insider continued, “Amy and T.J. are peers, they — quite obviously — have great chemistry on TV. They are both separated from their spouses. They are free to be a couple.” The source also added, “In some ways, this is TV gold, but let’s just hope they don’t break up.”

While Iger learned of Robach and Homes’ affair recently, a source told People at the time that the co-hosts’ relationship was “widely known” by Good Morning America employees, so much so that they were told to “knock off” their flirty behavior before their relationship became public. “There were so many people internally that were unhappy about it,” the insider said. “They were flirtatious.” Another source also told People that there were rumors of an affair between Robach and Holmes in 2021, a year before their relationship became public. “There were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago,” the source said. “A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it, because you can see there’s a mutual affection there. Days later, while recording a segment on robes without Holmes for Good Morning America on November 16, 2022, Robach referenced her co-host’s love for robes. “I wish TJ was here,” Good Morning America contributor Tory Johnson said during the segment, to which Robach responded, “He loves his robes. He walks around the hallways with them.” A day later, on November 17, 2022, Holmes and Robach were seen again at New York University Langone, where Holmes was seen leaving with Robach and her best friend, who walked Robach’s golden doodle, Brody, while Holmes stayed in Robach’s apartment with her, according to The Daily Mail.

While there are plenty of advantages to having a small bust—not having to worry about a nip slip sporting a low-cut top and no “bounce-back” during sweaty Zumba classes — finding a bra that fits a small-chested frame is definitely not one of them. I know, I know—whether you’re a AA or a DD, finding a well-fitting bra isn’t easy, but for us less-endowed members of the IBTC (if you know, you know) bra shopping comes with its own unique set of struggles. From dealing with the dreaded gap situation to ridiculous amounts of padding, if you’re not a “standard size,” you know that tracking down the perfect bra can be a straight-up painstaking task.

For reference, I usually wear a size 32A, and like most boob-owners,  my cup size changes a bit with weight changes and hormonal fluctuations, I can absolutely speak to the challenge of trying to find flattering and comfortable bras that you know, actually fit my lady bits. In the past, I’ve resorted to scanning the junior’s section with the hopes of finding a better-fitting bra, but despite my modest bustline, I’m a grown woman and I have curves in other places too—I shouldn’t have to resort to an ill-fitting training bra designed for sixth graders, am I right?

If I’m going to be totally honest here, I’ve longed for a buxom pair of breasts since I was a kid. Embarrassingly enough, I even stuffed my bra with toilet paper in middle school to fake a fuller chest (although I don’t recommend this DIY “hack” at all whatsoever, guys), but I’ve grown to love my small but perky set over the years. Regardless of accepting the genetic card I was dealt with, that doesn’t mean I want to go braless all the time due to a lack of decent options. Fortunately, the small-chested bra space has come along way in the past few years, and there are some pretty stellar options out there. Whether they’re about to be first-time parents or turning out to be a family of 10, these celebs are proud to share the news. But before we get into these celebrity pregnancies of 2022, let’s take a walk down memory lane and remember all the celebrity babies welcomed thanks to the pregnant celebrities in 2021. Acclaimed filmmaker Greta Gerwig and her partner Noah Baumbach are expecting their second baby together. The Little Women director made the announcement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on December 1, 2022, but mentioned she’d actually revealed her baby bump at an event a month earlier. “I went to an event recently, and I wore something, and I thought everyone would be so interested that I was having another child, and nobody cared,” the Oscar nominee joked. “It didn’t get reported on. Turns out nobody’s paying attention.”

The couple already has a son, Harold, whom they welcomed in late 2019. “It’s hard to know what a three-year-old makes of things that aren’t existent yet in front of him,” Gerwig said of his reaction to the news he would be a big brother. Gerwig and Baumbach have been dating for over a decade, having met on the set of Greenberg in 2010.

Nick Cannon & Alyssa Scott

Nick Cannon just announced his second child—12th overall— with model and ex-girlfriend Alyssa Scott. The Wild’N Out alum’s ex shared the news on her Instagram on October 26, 2022. She posted a picture of her with her daughter Zeela and a baby bump. She captioned the post “With you by my side…,” and the outlet learned that Nick Cannon is the father. The news comes weeks after Nick welcomed his tenth baby with Brittany Bell. He is awaiting the birth of his 11th child with Abby De La Rosa. Nick and Alyssa had one child together, Zen, who was born in August 2021 and died in December 2021, after being diagnosed with brain cancer and a subsequent tumor. In honor of their late son, Nick and Alyssa created Zen’s Light foundation with the goal of helping to find a cure for pediatric cancer.

Dancing with the Stars alum Lindsay Arnold is expecting her second baby, according to People. “Sam and I are thrilled to announce we’re pregnant with baby No. 2!” she said in a statement. “I can’t wait to take you along with me on my pregnancy journey and what this means for my new fitness platform, The Movement Club.” She and Samuel Lightner Cusick have one child together, Sage Jill, born on November 2020. In a TikTok posted in August, she filmed the journey of conceiving another baby. “I am currently trying to get pregnant,” she shared during a life update. “So for everyone asking about that, it’s happening. It kind of has been happening for a while, so send your good luck vibes to us.” In another TikTok, she posted the caption, “When you get a positive pregnancy test and then you start your a few days later but your sweet daughter is there for you every step of the way … ”

The Dancing with the Stars pro announced she was stepping away from the show in September 2022. “I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing with the Stars this season,” she wrote in an Instagram post.” Arnold continued, “This has been one of the hardest decisions to make but ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family. DWTS has been a part of my life for over 10 years now and when I say I love the show with all of my heart I mean it!!”

Hilary Swank just announced that she’s pregnant with a set of twins. The Alaska Daily star revealed to Good Morning America that she’s “going to be a mom—and not just of one, but of two,” with her husband of four years, Philip Schneider. She expressed her awe, “I can’t believe it. It’s so nice to be able to talk about it and share it.” The 48-year-old actress continued sharing her joy on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “I’m feeling great right now,” she told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and added that her clothes have “started not to fit.” “I definitely would like kids someday,” Hilary told People in 2006. “That’s definitely something that I’ve always thought about as a very, very young girl.”

Bachelor In Paradise‘s Caila Quinn is expecting her first baby with husband Nick Burrello. “We are 3 and 1/2 months along! I’ve been feeling quite nauseous with morning sickness, but each week we get more and more excited knowing baby is growing,” she told Us Weekly: “[Our baby] is currently the size of a navel orange.” She explained the cute way that she revealed her pregnancy to her husband of one year. “I put a new camel sweater on our dog Ash and tucked the pregnancy test in it. When Nick called Ash to come sit with him on the couch, the pregnancy test fell out and Nick shouted, ‘No way!’ in pure shock — and joy, of course!” The couple was married in May 2021 after being introduced through mutual friends in August 2017.

Love Island U.K.‘s Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced they were expecting their first child together in an Instagram post shared on September 25, 2022. “I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet,” Molly-Mae wrote in the caption of the video, which began with throwback footage of them from 2019 on Love Island U.K.‘s fifth season. The video then cut to a shot of Molly-Mae’s baby bump and the couple in a sweet embrace, as the song “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron played over the top. Fellow Love Island alums expressed their excitement in the comments section. “AND THERE WE GO IM CRYING AGAIN!!!!!!” Maurah Higgins gushed. “LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH.” Montana Brown added, “Stop this is amazing!!!! Congratulations love birds.”

Another one! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are expecting their fourth baby. Blake Lively debuted her new baby bump at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit on Thursday, September 15, 2022, where she posed in front of the cameras with a sequined long-sleeved mini dress. Blake and Ryan married on September 9, 2012, and the couple has three girls together: James, 8,  Inez, 5, and Betty, 3. While talking about his sabbatical with LinkedIn News Senior Editor at Large Jessi Hempel, Ryan talked about the importance of being with his kids during their formative years. He said, “I want my kids to have a pretty normal schedule. For many years when my wife Blake would shoot a film, I would not shoot a film and I would be with the kids and vice versa. So we would sort of trade-off. We never really worked at the same time. But always we were away. So the kids were away too.”

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are expecting their third child together, People and Us Weekly have confirmed, though we don’t have any other details yet. The Maroon 5 frontman and his Victoria’s Secret model wife already have two daughters, Gio Grace, 4, and Dusty Rose, 5. The couple has previously said they want a “big family”, with Behati suggesting even more children could be in their future. “We want a big family. Who knows? We’re leaving it up to fate and just what happens. What will happen, will happen. So there are no limits to it,” she told Entertainment Tonight in November 2021. “I think it’s just kind of where we are in our life. And with COVID too, I was just seeing them together, I’m like, ‘Maybe we should have a third just to have more kids,’ because it was so sweet to see [them together]. But then I don’t know. Never say never.”

Nick Cannon is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Brittany Bell. “Time Stopped and This Happened,” Cannon captioned an Instagram video on August 24, 2022, of a maternity shoot with Bell. He added the hashtags “Sunshine” and “SonRISE.” The baby is Cannon and Bell’s third child after son, Golden, and daughter, Powerful. The baby is Cannon’s 10th child overall. Cannon also shares son, Legendary, with ex Bre Tiesi. He shares twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with ex Abby de La Rosa, who announced in June 2022 that she’s pregnant with another of Cannon’s children. He also shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon and ex Alyssa Scott also share son Zen, who died in December 2021 at 5 months old from brain cancer.

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are having another baby. The Cravings by Chrissy Teigen founder announced that she was pregnant with the couple’s fourth child via IVF in an Instagram post on August 3, 2022. The announcement came after Teigen and Legend lost their third child, a son named Jack, in a stillbirth in September 2020.

“the last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” Teigen captioned an Instagram post of her baby bump. “I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”

Teigen and Legend married in September 2013. They also share daughter Luna, born in 2016, and son Miles, born in 2018.

Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian confirmed on July 13, 2022, that she and her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, are expecting a second child via surrogate. “We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November. Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing,” a representative for The Kardashians star told Page Six in a statement. “We’d like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloe can focus on her family.”

A source told Page Six at the time that Khloé and Tristan, who share 4-year-old daughter True, are not back together and haven’t spoken since December 2021 other than about co-parenting. Multiple sources also told the site that the baby was conceived via surrogate before Tristan confirmed he had fathered a son with Maralee Nichols in December 2021. Tristan fathered the baby after he had cheated on Khloé with Maralee.

“Khloé and Tristan already had the baby in the works when the scandal hit. By then, Khloé was just like, ‘I’m going to be doing it by myself'” Page Six’s source said. Another inside added that the Good American founder has been talking about the baby since Christmas 2021. According to TMZ, who first reported the news, the baby’s birth is “imminent.” Other sources also report that the baby was born in July 2022.

Tarek El Moussa & Heather Rae Young

A surprise! Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young just announced that they’re having their first baby together. The couple talked to People on July 13, 2022, about how they were surprised when they found out about the great news. “It was a huge shock,” Heather said. “We just weren’t expecting this. We had just gone through IVF. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan. I think when you least expect it and there’s no stress in your life, the world just brought us what was meant to be. I’m so excited that it happened like this.” She continued, “When we first started dating three years ago, we went into our relationship not planning on having children together. I really love being a bonus mom to Taylor and Brayden. They’re such incredible kids and I love them so much. But as your love grows more and more and you fall deeper in love with someone and you build this life together, I started picturing myself having a child with Tarek. I started thinking I just wanted to create something with the man that I’m in love with.”

Heather is a stepmother to Tarek’s children with his ex-wife Christina Hall. Tarek has two children, Taylor, 11 and Brayden, 6. Tarek was elated about the announcement. “I’m just obsessed with my kids. They’re my everything, so having another one is just icing on the cake. I’m so excited,”

Nick Cannon & Abby De La Rosa

“The stork is on the way!” Nick Cannon confirmed that he’s expecting more children during a June 2022 episode of Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast. When asked about rumors that he has “three babies on the way,” Cannon replied, “When you say ‘on the way…’ What count are you at? Let’s just put it this way—the stork is on the way.” He went on to suggest, “if you thought the numbers I put up in 2021,” were a lot, just wait and see in 2022.

In 2021, Cannon welcomed twins Zion and Zillion with model Abby De La Rosa in June. Later that month, he welcomed his son, Zen, with Alyssa Scott. Six months later, baby Zen tragically passed away following a battle with brain cancer. Cannon is also father to 10-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, along with 5-year-old son Golden and 17-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell.

While Cannon did not reveal just how many kids are on the way this year, TMZ reports that he is expecting again with De La Rosa, who announced she is pregnant in June 2022. In her announcement, the model teased that she could be expecting twins again. Cannon is also father to another baby on the way with Bre Tiesi, who is due this year.

Celebrations all around! Pippa Middleton is expecting a third child with her husband James Matthews, according to multiple reports. The younger sister of Kate Middleton was spotted at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on the weekend of June 3, 2022, wearing a green dress that highlighted her baby bump. She was spotted with her brother James Middleton, his wife, Alizée Thévenet and her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. Pippa and James tied the knot in May 2017 at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield. The couple has two children together, son Arthur, 3, and daughter Grace, 1. The couple has not confirmed the pregnancy officially.

Mandy Moore & Taylor Goldsmith

One chapter closed, and another one opens! Mandy Moore announced on her Instagram on June 3, 2022, that she’s expecting her second baby with her husband Taylor Goldsmith. She captioned the post,”One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo”

The This is Us actress just wrapped up the final season of the NBC drama in May 2022, and is expected to embark on a tour in June 2022 in support of her album In Real Life. Moore and Goldsmith have one son together, August, who was born in February 2021.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are expecting their second child together. “I couldn’t be more excited,” Heidi told Us Weekly on June 1, 2022. “I don’t know who I’m the most excited for — myself or Gunner or Spencer,” she continued while mentioning her firstborn Gunner, 4. The Hills alum opened up about her troubles conceiving a second child after the birth of Gunner. “I just felt like something was missing. I felt like a person was missing in our family that I had this intense love for. And I kept praying about it. I’m like, if I’m not meant to have another kid — because I had accepted that at this point — I just wanted to not have that desire so strongly and I just wasn’t sure if it was going to happen or not. I just get so emotional about it.”

Heidi’s husband Spencer Pratt expressed his excitement for the new baby and the journey it took to conceive a second baby. “Heidi has been crying a lot,” he told Us Weekly. “It’s like every month, ‘Here we go.’ I was like, ‘If it happens, it happens.’ But Heidi didn’t want to do it that way. It was so long at this point I don’t know if I have any emotion left because it was very challenging.”

Another round! Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Matthews announced that she was pregnant with their second child on May 30, 2022. Mahomes posted a picture of his family on Instagram with their daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, holding a board that said, “Big sister duties coming soon.” The football player captioned the post, “Round 2!” The couple married in March 2022 and had their firstborn in February 2021. The little one also served as a flower girl for her parents’ wedding.

Kelly Osbourne announced that she was pregnant in an Instagram post on May 12, 2022. The singer captioned the post with a sonogram of her soon-to-be baby, “I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma. To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic! ” The Dancing with the Stars alum posted the photo along with her partner Slipknot musician Sid Wilson III, who shared an up-close version of the sonogram.

Post Malone announced in an interview with People on May 3, 2022, that he’s expecting his first child with his girlfriend, whom he hasn’t publicly identified. “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day,” he said. According to TMZ, Malone celebrated the news with his family in Southern California the weekend before the announcement.

Robach, who was 40 years old at the time and had no history of cancer in her family, explained in the book that almost said no when Good Morning America producers asked her to do the mammogram but was convinced when her co-anchor, Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor told her, “I can pretty much guarantee it will save a life.” Weeks later, Robach announced in an episode of Good Morning America in 2013 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. “I have breast cancer,” she said in the episode. Robach unerwent a bilateral mastectomy, where doctors found a second malignant tumor in her other breast and discovered that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. She underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and reconstructive surgery. Robach announced she was cancer-free in March 2022.

Along with her memoir, Robach co-wrote a children’s book, titled Better Together, with her husband at the time, Andrew Shue, in 2021. The book, which was inspired by Shue and Robach’s blended family, follows a family of chipmunks and a family of squirrels who must find a way to live together after a thunderstorm causes them to flee from their homes.

Robach and Shue, an actor best known for his role as Billy Campbell on Melrose Place, married in 2010 and separated in 2022. They co-parent five children from their previous marriages. Robach shares daughters Ava, born in 2002, and Analise, born in 2006, with ex-husband Tim McIntosh, while Shue shares sons Nathaniel, born in 1996, Aiden, born in 1999, and Wyatt, born in 2004, with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney. “We felt that there was a story in our family’s story that could resonate with blended families, but also could just resonate with people in general in the country who are struggling a little bit to find the love and the common ground that we all share,” Shue told People in 2021 of Better Together. “We used to actually tell [our kids] stories, and especially the little ones, about the animals in our yard and how they all became a family together,” Robach added. “And so we used to joke and say, ‘One day we should write a children’s book about how family isn’t just about who you’re related to by blood, but who you choose to love, who you choose to respect, and who you choose to find common ground with.'”

Robach told People that another “cool lesson” she wants readers to take from Better Together is that “your way isn’t the only way and it’s not even necessarily the best way.” “Learning from other people about how they do things or what they like to eat or what they like to do, you can learn a whole new set of skills,” she said. “The whole better together concept is just teaching people that it’s not about whose side you’re on or who did it better. It’s about coming together.” Robach and Shue also told People at the time about how “blown away” they were by how naturally their kids came together as a blended family. “I think that was the most beautiful part of it, just to see how well and how willing they were to ultimately love each other. That was a beautiful thing,” Robach said. Shue added, “We’re able to see the fruits of our labor, and see how the kids are all getting along and how much they appreciate each other, even though they aren’t blood relatives, that they too have built a family and a sense of family.”

Season one took place in 2021, 14 years since the original series aired in 2007. As Gossip Girl pries on their every move, secrets are exposed (the burgeoning throuple between Aki, Audrey, and Max, and the post-protest make-out session Obie has with Julien even if he’s with her little sister). Feuds reach a crescendo and the finale of the first season implies that there won’t be a happy ending for everyone.

As season two heavily spreads the load of drama, it takes a dive into what it means to be a villain and underscores it with money and wealth—everyone will get a bit ugly. This reprised version of Gossip Girl boils the pot of what defines a hero and the opposing antagonist, as viewers were infringed to believe that Julien would be the rising phoenix to take on the catty legacy of Blair Waldorf. Julien’s the queen of Constance, reigning with influence over beauty and fashion choices. As such, she’s been branded an It Girl to all.

Yet, Monet de Haan is the real snake in the grass. And it’s a thrill to watch a star be born in Savannah Smith, the actor who plays her. To refresh, Monet spent her character introductions in the first season being used as the publicist of Julien. A fairy Godmother if you will, alongside the sharp Luna La (Zion Moreno)—Julien’s other right-hand woman. Monet focused her efforts of superiority on doing the dirty laundry for Julien so the influencer would get to soak in the sunshine without ever worrying about the consequences.

Monet’s character represents true struggles that Black women have gone through, as it’s considerably easier to be strong than to ever admit when you can be weak.

The rivalry between Julien and her younger half-sister, Zoya Lott, mimicked that of Serena van der Woodsen and Blair’s feud—as Zoya held the qualities of ambition, relatability and youthfulness to send her sibling to the guillotine. Nevertheless, Julien would claw the surface of the iniquitous character arc and repress it once it reflected her relationship between her father, her ex-boyfriend Obie and herself. The student was in constant struggle, holding influence driven by nastiness and deceit to float to the top on the one hand or the importance of love, friendship and self-worth on the other. Yet, this type of self-versus, self-conflict continued to clash against the perils of power. As Julien begins to fall from grace, Monet is already brushing off her crown.

Monet is dashing for many reasons. Many of the characters in the show mirror themselves with good intentions to avoid discussing their own wicked behavior. The catalyst of the show was prompted by underpaid teachers who believed invading and shaming their student body would impose gratitude and generational change. It’s a thin disguise used to build their own influence. Monet’s revenge is a breath of truth in many ways. She doesn’t hide from the envy or the manipulation; she refines it. Monet also isn’t afraid to be the villain—a lesson that many of the characters could learn if they stopped lying to themselves. Throughout the second season, she continues to build plans to weaken the armor of Julien’s power so that she may be able to rise.

While everyone else may lie about their individual wants, Monet possesses qualities no one else does. She’s honest, perceptive and passionate. Even through her timeless attempts to overshadow Julien, there’s a deep vulnerability and a characterization that makes her exciting to watch. Monet’s need to be evil is in projection about the emptiness of love. “I want to be loved,” she states in one of the episodes alongside Luna during her Valentine’s Day party. It’s a beautiful moment between the two. Monet’s character represents true struggles that Black women have gone through, as it’s considerably easier to be strong than to ever admit when you can be weak.

Monet is the fine line between Kate Keller, the face behind Gossip Girl, and her mother Camille de Haan. As Kate and Camille are supposed to lay on opposite spectrums, representing the pH balance of good and evil—Monet is the outlier. Camille’s developed storyline as a mother and businesswoman is supposed to vilify her character and, as one of the only Black women in the show propelled in a hierarchy, it weaponizes this against someone like Kate. The joke is that the pair face the same direction in the mirror.

While watching this new season, one thing that changed my mind after watching the trailer is that there are two truths. Monet accepts that she’s the villain, but everyone involved has personified the role of Blair Waldorf in some way. The trailer creates an illusion that the one to watch out for is Monet when in actuality, everyone is a danger to each other. She is the true wild card of the show and Smith’s delivery of the witty teen props her to be someone you just can’t help to root for no matter how difficult it is made for you to prefer otherwise. In the voice of Gossip Girl—you know you love her.

Is Amazon Prime Video worth it? In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2015, Amazon’s former CEO Jeff Bezos revealed what Amazon Prime Video looks for in original content. “Is this something we can imagine is someone’s favorite show? One way you can think about TV is you can say, ‘I want to make something that millions and millions of people are going to watch,'” he said. “If that’s your starting point, you paint yourself into a corner and you often end up with homogenized, uninteresting content. If you say, ‘Let’s hire the world’s greatest storytellers. Let’s encourage them to take risks,’ then you’re going to end up with a remarkable story, and remarkable stories always find an audience.”

Bezos also discussed how involved he is in Amazon Prime Video’s original content. “I’m involved very significantly when final decisions are made; so after the pilot process, when we sit down to review all the shows and figure out what to say yes to,” he said. “But I’m really a reverse-veto person. I would never say no to something the team wanted to do, but I might say yes to something the team didn’t want to do. You want there to be multiple ways to get to “yes” because you want to encourage risk-taking.” Bezos also talked about Amazon Prime Video’s business plan is different than Netflix, which releases a new show almost every week. “Instead of setting a long-range goal, I would just say we’re going to keep pushing forward, making more and more,” he said. “We’re still sort of filling a pipeline. But I like the vision of doing things frequently. The reason we’re doing this is because we want Prime members to value their membership. If you look at the upward trajectory of how much content we’re creating per quarter, it’s increasing very rapidly. I don’t envision that slowing anytime soon.”

Bezos also acknowledged the importance of keeping the business and creative side of Amazon Prime Video separate to create the most authentic content for viewers. “The way you get good storytelling is important because the process can matter. That’s why I like our approach. I’m not even saying it’s the right approach, I’m just saying it’s ours. It’s this very rigorous process to say yes, but then once we say yes, we keep our Amazon Studios team size very small so that’s consistent with not wanting to interfere with the work the storyteller does,” he said. “For example, I’ll give you the alternate scenario that would be horrific in my mind, which is that I’m sitting there in Seattle and Roy is sending me early drafts of Transparent season-two scripts and I’m giving Jill [Soloway] ideas. How in the world could I possibly help Jill? I can help Jill by leaving her alone. And everyone at Amazon takes that same approach.”

Bezos also told Vox in 2016 that Amazon Prime Video is also a way to bring more subscribers to Amazon Prime. “We get to monetize [our subscription video] in a very unusual way,” Bezos said. “When we win a Golden Globe, it helps us sell more shoes. And it does that in a very direct way. Because if you look at Prime members, they buy more on Amazon than non-Prime members, and one of the reasons they do that is once they pay their annual fee, they’re looking around to see, ‘How can I get more value out of the program?’ And so they look across more categories — they shop more. A lot of their behaviors change in ways that are very attractive to us as a business. And the customers utilize more of our services.” He continued, “Because we have this unusual way to monetize the premium content, we can charge less for the premium content than we would otherwise have to charge, if we didn’t have the flywheel spinning to help sell more shoes.”

Amazon Studios chief operating officer and co-TV head Albert Cheng also told Variety in 2021 about how Amazon Prime Video is different than other streaming services.“We’re in a different business model unlike the pure-play video SVOD [streaming video on demand] players,” he said. “For us it’s about Amazon Prime customers, making sure we’re delivering value, that we’re looking at our content to drive subscriptions. … We don’t have to play as a substitute for a different type of service or compete in that way.” Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke also noted a key difference between Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services is how the company views its audience as “customers.” “You come into Amazon, it’s a very customer-focused company and we find ourselves saying ‘customer’ a lot,” she said. “We’ve never said those things before in our previous incarnations. But then you get in there and you realize, yeah, we do have a very different model and it’s very clear to us what those drivers are, who our customers are. It’s not that complicated for us and we really try not to pay attention to the competition.” She continued,  “Any decision you see us make falls into three categories: is it enhancing the value of Prime subscription, is it driving Prime subscription and is it engaging a new audience with Prime in general. That’s how we make decisions, based on that.”

Salke also told Deadline in 2022 about Amazon Prime Video’s shift to more prestige content. “We remain extremely curated,” she said. “We’ve always believed if we build it, they will come.” She continued, “We know we have global customers all around the world who love these kinds of films. You can see it in the results, it’s not debatable on any level. So that strategy is not under threat. We’ll continue to be the place for the very best in storytelling with the best creative partners. No hard and fast rules about the budgets of those types of films.”

Salke also noted that Amazon Prime Video isn’t “a company that makes hard and fast rules” when its comes to streaming and theatrical releases. “We’re a company that believes in experimentation and looking long-term,” she said. “For us as an organization, we’d never say ‘never’ about that.” She continued, “Even movies that are planned only for streaming release, we go back and have long, thoughtful conversations around ‘Would it be in this film’s best interest to have a limited theatrical release, beyond a couple of weeks?’ That windowing is constantly being discussed; our business around film and distribution is a hot topic like it is everywhere else. We’re just bringing a lot of thought, creativity and open-mindedness to the whole topic.”

She also explained of how Amazon chooses which titles to stream on Amazon Prime Video and which to premiere in theaters. “If we have a film that we think can drive massive ticket sales, that is also a big business driver. I think you’ll see experimentation in the space moving forward, but I think it’s safe to say we love and respect the theatrical experience,” she said. “We want to bring people into theaters to be able to enjoy these films and then get them to global Prime audiences as soon as possible to capitalize on the global cultural moment and conversation and marketing spend on all this content.”

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, who replaced Bezos in 2021, also revealed Amazon Prime Video’s plans to expand with live sports content in an interview with CNBC in 2021. “It’s still early days for us in media,” he said. “We’re off to a great start but we do believe we have an opportunity to provide a unique viewing experience for our customers with really original and creative content.” He also hinted at Amazon Prime Video’s bid to stream the National Football League’s “Sunday Ticket,” calling the company’s relationship with the NFL a “very important partnership.” Jassy also spoke to Amazon’s line of tech devices, including its Fire Sticks and Fire TVs, which help brand Amazon Prime Video as a premier destination for entertainment content. “Increasingly, people will do commerce in these mechanisms,” Jassy said. “Between what we do with Alexa and what we do in the living room, I think we have an opportunity to change what’s possible for people and what’s accessible to people.”
