Remi Akinwonmi

A clean energy enthusiast, Remi is committed to finding innovative ways to help everyone embrace solar and reduce their carbon footprint. He recently defended his Master’s thesis at the University of Colorado Boulder on a dynamic approach to clean energy and previously worked as a solar PV system installer.

Remi served as the Vice-Chair of the Photovoltaic and Solar Electric Technical Division at the American Solar Energy Society from 2020 to 2021. He also curates the American Solar Energy Society’s Solar at Work Community Newsletter. This combined with his previous experience as a solar PV and minigrid engineer installing solar PV systems helps encourage countrywide solar integration.
